Picture Yourself at Burtons Farm Park
The area of North Solihull, which covers Chelmsley Wood, Smith's Wood, Kingshurst and Fordbridge, is undertaking one of the largest community-led regeneration programmes in the country. This 15 year comprehensive programme will inject a staggering £1.8 billion into the area. Over the 15 year timeframe, 8,000 new homes will be built, with a further 12,500 homes improved.
The new village centre under construction at North Arran Way will act as a hub for the area and will contain health services, shopping and first class community features. The area is well preserved by three primary schools - Bosworth Wood, St John the Baptist RC and Kingfisher Primary School. Kingfisher is currently being completely re-built as part of the new village centre on North Arran Way and will be offering nursery and creche facilities to the neighbourhood, as well as a range of out of school activities suitable for both children and adults. Kingfisher has just been judged to have an excellent nursery unit by Ofsted - the national schools inspectorate.
Two secondary schools cover this part of the Borough - Smith's Wood, a specialist sports college and Park Hall. The early years and pre-school children are not left out - there is a new neighbourhood nursery at Bosworth Wood, together with several excellent pre-school groups and before and after school clubs located in the primary schools. There is also the Smith's Wood Family Centre close to the development that offers mums to be and new parents the opportunity to access a range of support services for parents and children.
Burtons Farm Park is situated near the M42 and within easy reach of the M40 and the M6, giving it a most convenient location for reaching the major commercial centres of Birmingham, Coventry and Leamington Spa. Birmingham International Airport is located approximtely 4 miles from the development for flights to most European destinations.
