Just 3.5 miles from Lathom Pastures, the pretty town of Ormskirk has a rich and fascinating history which can be admired with a visit to the 12th Century Ormskirk Parish Church. A striking and unusual structure, the church of St. Peter and St. Paul is one of only three churches in the country which was built with both a steeple and a spire.

Ormskirk Chapel Gallery is another popular site to visit in the town, which boasts an extensive public art gallery with regularly changing displays. Family events are held in the large exhibition space with plenty of activities for children, while the quaint café and contemporary craft shop can keep parents entertained.

Just beyond the town centre, residents will find the picturesque Coronation Park, which spans 20 acres of public green space to be explored. While the ever-popular Windmill Animal Farm is located in the nearby market town of Burscough, just under five miles from Lathom Pastures.

Seasonal events are held throughout the year, including free live music performances at the park’s ornate bandstand, during the summer months. The natural beauty of Coronation Park is an excellent introduction to Lancashire’s vast rolling countryside, which is dotted with numerous walking and cycling routes, boasting wonderful views of Ormskirk and beyond.

Nearby Ormskirk benefits from good local amenities and nearby shopping facilities, including a range of high street and independent stores and large supermarkets, as well as a vibrant, open-air market.

First held in 1286, Ormskirk’s historic market takes place twice weekly and presents around 100 stalls. Located at the heart of the town centre, this bustling market offers a variety of fresh local produce, including organic meats, homemade bread and locally-grown fruits and vegetables. Shoppers will also find a host of stalls displaying clothing, flowers, furniture and artisan gifts.

Ringtail Retail Park, located in the nearby market town of Burscough, includes a range of supermarkets at just under 15 minutes drive from Lathom Pastures.

With exclusive retail outlets, modern department stores and bohemian street markets, Liverpool is well known as a prestigious and eclectic shopping destination. Cavern Walks, Met Quarter and Bold Street are all popular with shoppers, while the city’s premier retail hub, Liverpool ONE, boasts a range of high-street and designer boutiques alongside excellent quality restaurants and cafés.

The village of Lathom enjoys close proximity a number of family restaurants, cafés and gastro pubs, many of which are within walking distance of Ormskirk’s compact town centre.

Dating back more than 400 years, Lathom’s Plough Inn is just 1.4 miles from the development, with a menu of locally-sourced produce in generous portions, alongside a well-stocked bar of cask ales, guest beers and premium wines. The Ship is another traditional British pub close to home, which is committed to using premium local specialist suppliers and preparing an excellent range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals.

In nearby Ormskirk, a thriving restaurant circuit ensures cuisines from all over the world can be sampled, with French and Italian influences of the Left Bank Brassiere, off-set by the exotic Portugese dishes of nearby Piri Piri. This family-run restaurant features a real charcoal grill and an extensive menu of fine wines, to deliver an authentic Portuguese dining experience in the heart of the town centre.

Lathom Pastures is conveniently located just four miles from Ormskirk town centre, and benefits from excellent transport connections to surrounding towns and cities, including major commuter areas.

Your monthly repayments

Repayment mortgage
What's this?
If you opt for a repayment mortgage, you will need to make monthly payments to your mortgage lender, which consist of a portion of the amount you originally borrowed (sometimes called the ‘capital balance’), as well as any interested that has been incurred on your loan.
Interest only mortgage
What's this?
Choosing an interest-only mortgage means that you will only need to make monthly payments towards the interest on the amount you originally borrowed. With this type of loan, you don’t need to repay any of the capital balance (the amount you borrowed to buy your home), for the duration of the interest only period.
