Sports facilities in the area include Bracknell Leisure Centre, five minutes’ drive from Sterling Square, which has a swimming pool, gym, fitness studio, athletics stadium, squash courts and football pitches, and the John Nike Leisuresport Complex, around 10 minutes’ drive away, which offers skiing, ice skating and snowboarding. Bracknell has football, tennis, rugby and cricket clubs, and the celebrated Ascot Racecourse is less than three miles from the development. Swinley Forest, 10 minutes’ drive away, covers more than 3,000 acres and is popular with walkers, cyclists – it has 15 miles of mountain bike trails – and horse riders.

There are two multiplex cinemas in the middle of town screening the latest movie blockbusters, as well as a cinema within the South Hill Park Arts Centre in Ringmead, two miles away, which shows a mixture of family favourites, arthouse and independent films. The arts centre is situated in an 18th century manor house and incorporates The Wilde Theatre, exhibition galleries, workshops space and a dance studio. Its grounds are also regularly used for public events and festivals.
