The area offers many opportunities for rest and relaxation, both indoors and out. Avondale leisure centre, a 15-minute walk from the development, and Grand Central, in the middle of town, offer a range of facilities, including swimming pools, sports halls, gyms and fitness studios. The Victorian Abney Hall Park is less than two miles away and is home to a country house, as well as football pitches, picnic areas and a nature reserve. Cale Green Park, also less than two miles from Vision, has a children’s play area, tennis, basketball and netball courts.

Stockport’s art deco Plaza is a combined cinema and theatre, which offers a regular programme of drama, comedy and film, while the latest movie releases can be seen at the Cineworld multiplex in the centre of town. Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre in nearby Didsbury also has a multi-screen cinema, a bowling alley and several restaurants.

Major roads easily accessible from Vision include the M60 Manchester Outer Ring Road, the A34 and the A6.

The nearest railway station is Davenport, a few minutes drive from the development, from where regular services run to Manchester, Bolton, Preston, Blackpool and Buxton. Services to Stoke-on-Trent, Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Doncaster, Liverpool and London Euston also stop at Stockport station, two miles away.
