Nightingale Rise is a contemporary development of new homes in Hoo St Weburgh, constructed to appeal to a wide audience of potential purchasers, including families, commuters and first-time buyers.

This collection of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes is offered in a variety of styles and incorporates desirable design features, such as en suite shower rooms, integrated kitchen appliances and open-plan living space. All properties have garages, or allocated parking and all houses have gardens.

The village offers rural living, yet is within commuting distance of Maidstone and London. Major routes easily accessible from the development include the A228, which links the village with Strood, West Malling, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells; the A2 for the M25, south and central London, Sittingbourne, Canterbury and Dover, and the M2 for Faversham. Strood and Rochester train stations are both around four miles from Nightingale Rise, with regular trains running to Folkestone, Dover, Ebbsfleet International, Stratford International, London Bridge, London Charing Cross and London St Pancras International, among many other destinations.

For families, several well-regarded schools can be found in the local area, including Hoo St Werburgh and Chattenden primary schools for younger children, and The Hundred of Hoo Academy for secondary-age pupils. The latter also has a sixth form, providing a range of post-16 courses, while Mid Kent College, which has campuses in Gillingham and Maidstone, offers apprenticeships, further and higher education programmes.

Residents of these new homes in Hoo will find several small shops, including two supermarkets, around 15 minutes’ walk from the development, on Main Road and Church Street. Chatham, 10 minutes’ drive away has a larger selection of retailers, and Gravesend, less than 20 minutes away by car, is home to a variety of boutique, specialist, independent and chain stores. Bluewater at Greenhithe with around 300 shops, restaurants, cafés and a multi-screen cinema is around 20 minutes’ drive away.

Hoo St Werburgh is surrounded by open countryside so opportunities for outdoor pursuits are excellent, whether cycling, running, rambling or horse riding. Deangate Ridge Golf Club is 10 minutes’ walk from the development and Deangate Ridge Recreation Ground, which has an athletics track, two football pitches, three tennis courts and is home to Medway Borough Football Club, is just a few minutes’ walk away. Hoo Sports Centre on Main Road has a swimming pool, squash court, fitness studio and gym.

High Halstow National Nature Reserve is two miles from the development and forms part of RSPB Northward Hill, encompassing woodland, farmland, marshes and scrubland. Capstone Farm Country Park, which has a children’s play area and a fishing lake, as well as being home to a variety of wildlife, is 20 minutes’ drive from Nightingale Rise.
