Summary :

Bellway Homes’ North East Division will soon be relocating to Team Valley in Gateshead and is seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team.

The successful candidate should possess a recognised accountancy qualification, preferably part-qualified or qualified ACCA or equivalent, be self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines.

The role is varied in scope and requires a high degree of flexibility. Key responsibilities include controlling the processing and payment of sub-contractors, working closely with other departments as well as assisting with the production of financial information for monthly management accounts. Other duties will include some supervision of staff and assisting other areas within finance, where workload demands. IT skills are essential.

Reporting directly to the Divisional Finance Director, the role offers the opportunity to join a successful company which can offer an attractive salary as well as a company pension. Job share will be given consideration.
