My Sister Next Door

No, this is not a new version of the popular 70’s TV sitcom My Wife Next Door, staring Hannah Gordon and John Alderton. But a true story of how two sisters came to be rubbing shoulders having bought new homes on the same development.

Carla and Rita Lee are clearly inseparable sisters, not only do the two Civil Servants work together in the same office in Liverpool but they have also bought homes on the same Bellway development in Garston.

New Cardington opens to the public

A site in Bedfordshire which enjoys iconic status has been chosen by Bellway homes as the location of a new urban community comprising 970 homes. The former RAF Cardington is famed for being the home of the R101 airship - at its time the largest airship in the world which sadly crashed near Paris some 80 years ago on its maiden voyage.

Bellway who have been working on developing the site in consultation with Bedfordshire County Council since 2006 will be launching its first sales from the show homes on September 11th.

Bellway launch two new Basildon sites

House hunters in Basildon will be spoilt for choice after the announcement that award winning house builder Bellway is launching two new sites. Archers Field at Radford Park and Oakwood Grange in Basildon will both launch this weekend.

Bellway will be launching both sites on Saturday 11th September at its Radford Park development in Laindon.

Apprentices find a home at Bellway

Four budding builders are hoping to develop their careers with housebuilder Bellway. Bricklayers, Michael Wain and Alan Jacques are partnering joiners, Craig Fitzgibbon and Jordan Spencer as apprentices at Bellway’s Williamson Place development - part of the 164 home Edge Hill Housing Market Renewal Initiative.

The four apprentices aged between 17 and 18 all from Liverpool started a two-year course in April that will lead to an NVQ Level 2 qualification involving them attending Liverpool Community College 1 day a week as well as receiving on-site training. The course will lead to a recognised qualification that they can use to progress their careers.

Bellway Host First Time Buyers From Barlows Primary School

Well it may be a few years before they are ready to buy their first home but at least the Year 1 children from Barlows Primary School will have a good idea of how new homes are built having visited Bellway’s Canterbury Gardens development in Fazakerley, Liverpool.

“As part of our History project the children are comparing new homes and old homes, so when Bellway agreed to host our children on their site at Canterbury Gardens it really made the project come alive enabling the children to experience at first-hand the process of building a new modern home,” said teacher, Suzanne Evans.
