Why rent when you can buy new at City East

If you were paying as much in rent as you would for a mortgage why would you not buy a new home? That was the logic that project manager, Jaromir Kaska and his partner Vaida Butkute used when they bought a new home at Bellway’s City East development in Barking.

“We were looking for a home that would provide more space and room for our seven year old daughter, Goda, we had been renting in Leytonstone, but really wanted a home of our own. Our preference was to buy a new home where we could start afresh with our own décor choices rather than inheriting someone else’s design ideas,” said Jaromir.

It’s all in the name at Bellway homes’ Williamson Place

In a nod to Edge Hill’s history, Bellway Homes hosted an exclusive naming ceremony at its Williamson Place development, attended by special guest Sir Alan Waterworth.

One of the roads at Williamson Place has been named ‘Waterworth Drive’ as a lasting tribute to the Waterworth family, who were major employers in Liverpool.

Last chance to buy in Wombwell

There are just two opportunities left to buy a new home in the popular enclave of Herons Reach in Wombwell. Surrounded by countryside this traditional market town has long been a favourite for house hunters looking for an exclusive location providing good access to the rest of Yorkshire.

“This has been one of our most popular sites,” confirmed Bellway’s Sales Manager, Melanie Smith. “The two remaining homes are the 4 bedroom, 3 storey Kilburn priced at £149,995 and the 4 bedroom detached Darwin Evolution priced at £154 995. Both homes offer very flexible living accommodation and we have a range of offers and incentives available to help people move in including part-exchange and the low cost 5% deposit guarantee scheme, NewBuy."

Bellway’s NewBuy scheme provide Matthew and Louise with a home of their own

Matthew and his partner Louise both 28 had been living in a two bedroom apartment in Stowmarket for three years on a shared equity basis where they owned twenty five percent of the property and the remaining seventy five percent was owned by Flagship Housing Association.

“We had been watching house prices and mortgage levels for some time and were pretty convinced that now was a good time to buy with mortgage levels being so low,” said Matthew. “Our problem was that there was no way we could afford a twenty percent deposit. We both work and have good jobs, Louise works in Banking and I am a Community Support Office so we thought that we had a good chance of being accepted for a mortgage if we could find one that offered a lower deposit.”
