Top marks for Bellway’s Les Petty

Les Petty from national house builder Bellway has been judged as one of the best site managers in the country.

Les is one of a select number of site managers from across the country who have been recognised in this year's National House-Building Council (NHBC) quality awards.

The annual NHBC Pride in the Job Award is judged over the course of a year across the house-building industry. The award is designed to acknowledge the skills of site managers for their central role in co-ordinating the different trades and products used in house building, and is widely acknowledged as the building industries premier seal of quality.

Les who comes from Northampton has worked for Bellway for the last 10 years, and is presently completing work at Bellway’s Aqua development in Milton Keynes. Outside of work Les is a keen breeder of racing pigeons, commenting upon his award, Les said:

“I am delighted to receive this recognition; it is very much a team effort and reflects well upon everyone on site. It provides added confidence to our buyers that they are investing in a first-class product.”

Bellway’s Sales Director, Chris Edginton, commented: “The NHBC Pride in the Job campaign is a real mark of building excellence.  The award reflects the high standard of craftsmanship and management skills required to run an efficient and safe building environment.”

Winners of the awards now go through to the next stage of the competition, which will culminate in a supreme final to be staged in London.

Bellway’s award winning scheme, nestled between the Grand Union Canal and River Ouzel, offers a stunning range of apartments and 3 / 4 bedroom houses.
