Cabinet Secretary Ensures Traffic’s On The Move With Bellway Homes

Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure and Capital Investment, and MSP for Airdrie and Shotts, Mr Alex Neil officially opened a new £1m arterial road on behalf of award winning housebuilder Bellway Homes, which neighbours the company’s Crystal Park development in Airdrie.

Situated off Motherwell Street on the site of the former Boots factory and within easy reach of the town centre, Crystal Park provides a substantial collection of three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached homes.

The development has enjoyed unprecedented success due to the demand for new quality homes in an area that offers a good choice of local services and amenities. The commutability of the location further adds to the appeal of Crystal Park, with great road links to and from Airdrie providing access across much of the central belt.

Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure and Capital Investment Alex Neil said: “Bellway Homes is to be congratulated for completing this new arterial road. I recognise the significance and the importance it has in helping with the challenges and demands for new housing in the area. It offers excellent links to Motherwell and surrounding areas and gives great access to the wider community.”

As one of the UK’s top four house builders, Bellway Homes is renowned for its involvement in housing projects that aim to regenerate disused land, with currently more than 80% of its developments constructed on Brownfield sites. Furthering its commitment to the improvement of sites, the company makes every effort to put in place the requisite infrastructure if required, ensuring residents benefit from new homes in accessible locations.

The new road is yet to be named, which is why Bellway Homes has invited local children from Clarkston Primary School, adjacent to the development, to take part in a competition to come up with a new name prior to it being fully adopted by North Lanarkshire Council.

Andy Wyles, Managing Director at Bellway Homes said, “The new arterial road now links Motherwell Street with Burnhead Road and Connor Road, allowing residents and the wider community greater access to this part of the town.”

“I want to take this opportunity to thank the site team for completing the road on time and within budget, despite some challenging weather conditions over the last couple of winters. I am very much looking forward to receiving imaginative entries from pupils at Clarkston Primary in regards to naming the new road.”

In addition to the considerable collection of homes available at Crystal Park, Bellway Homes provides a number of tailored incentives specifically designed to help buyers secure a new home under current market conditions, such as ‘Part Exchange’, ‘5% Deposit Paid’ and ‘Express Mover’.

Prices at Crystal Park are released from £149,995. For further information, contact the sales centre, open Friday to Monday from 9.30am to 5.30pm and later night on Thursdays from 11am to 7pm, on 01236 759 307.
