Bellway’s part exchange scheme helps couple buy dream home

There is no denying the challenges faced by buyers and sellers in the housing market at the moment. The frustrations of people wanting to sell their old home to move to a new home can be fraught with difficulties a situation that vets Rick and Victoria Farr from Northampton were all too familiar with.

“When we started to advertise our home at the beginning of the year we were quite confident that it would sell quickly, however after 3 months we had not received one viewer which to say the least was very dispiriting,” said Rick.

“We had seen a new home at Bellway’s Wendover Rise development near Wendover village in Buckinghamshire which was just what we were looking for, it provided more space and was better for commuting to work for both myself and Victoria and the area is outstanding. Realising our dilemma Bellway offered to take our old home in on a part exchange basis. We hadn’t considered part exchange before, but looking back, it was by far the best answer. Bellway offered us a fair price for our old home and it meant that we had a guaranteed buyer and no worries about a possible chain collapsing, plus it saved us the cost of employing an estate agent and the inevitable bargaining process that would have ensued. The whole process took less than two months and was completely hassle free, lets face it if you were changing your car you would probably part exchange it so why not a home,” said Rick.

Rick and Victoria moved into their new 4 bedroom semi-detached home on Wendover Rise in July.

Currently Bellway have a selection of homes for sale at Wendover Rise ranging in size from two bedroom apartments to five bedroom homes with prices starting from £186,995.
