Bellway share sales and marketing experience with students from Duchess Community High School

Year 12 students from Duchess Community High School have been given an insight into the construction industry by housebuilder, Bellway. Part of a national Visit our Schools and Colleges initiative organised by the Education and Employees Taskforce, representatives from Bellway met with A-level students to provide an overview of sales and marketing within the house building industry.

Teacher, Keith Broughton, commented: “It is important for our students to gain a wide appreciation of the modules within the course that they are studying, bringing in a company like Bellway is invaluable. They have extensive experience and knowledge of the house building industry and were able to explain in depth to our students their sales and marketing strategy.”

Megan Turnbull, said: “Bellway’s presentation was really helpful as they acted a good case study for us and made us think more broadly about the subject.”

Bellway’s Group Technical Manager, Kevin Smith, said: “We were delighted to play a small role in helping these students in their studies. Our business supports a wide variety of different market sectors and employs a broad range of specialists and is very relevant to the course they are studying.
