Bellway scoop six building Oscars

Housebuilder Bellway has added to its list of building awards with the announcement that six of its site managers have won the prestigious National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Award.

The annual NHBC Pride in the Job Award is judged over the course of a year across the house-building industry. The award is designed to acknowledge the skills of site managers for their central role in co-ordinating the different trades and products used in house building, and is widely acknowledged as the building industries premier seal of quality.

Speaking on behalf of the six winners 47 year old Wayne Hayward from Towcester who started his building career at the age of 18 and managers Bellway’s Waterside development in Leicester, said: “I am delighted to receive this recognition; it is very much a team effort and reflects well upon everyone on site. It provides added confidence to our buyers that they are investing in a first-class product,”

Bellway’s Sales Director, Ben Smith commented: “The NHBC Pride in the Job campaign is a real mark of building excellence.  The award reflects the high standard of craftsmanship that customers can enjoy when they buy a Bellway home.

Winners of the awards will now go through to the next stage of the competition, which will culminate in a supreme final to be staged in London later this year.
