Bellway Host First Time Buyers From Barlows Primary School

Well it may be a few years before they are ready to buy their first home but at least the Year 1 children from Barlows Primary School will have a good idea of how new homes are built having visited Bellway’s Canterbury Gardens development in Fazakerley, Liverpool.

“As part of our History project the children are comparing new homes and old homes, so when Bellway agreed to host our children on their site at Canterbury Gardens it really made the project come alive enabling the children to experience at first-hand the process of building a new modern home,” said teacher, Suzanne Evans.

“Bellway’s site workers were really terrific with the children and made sure that they saw all the different parts of the building process, it makes such a difference to the children’s understanding when they can see how things are done in reality and it’s far more exciting for them to actually visit a location.”

Nicola Mountain from Bellway commented: “We were delighted to help out the school, as well as seeing the building process it also presented a valuable opportunity for us to explain to the children that building sites can be dangerous places and not some where to play.”

6-year old Ben Richards said: “It was nice to have a day outside school and really exciting seeing a house being built, next week we are going to Croxteth Hall to see an old house, but I guess that might not be as exciting.”

Canterbury Gardens is set in a thriving residential area and has excellent local amenities on the doorstep.

Commuters will find Canterbury Gardens an ideal starting point. The A59 and A506 are arterial roads into Liverpool city centre, and junction 6 of the M57 can be reached by car within minutes, creating links to the M62, M58 and M6.
