Bellway’s Eaton Lodge provides single mum Angela with security and comfort

As far as new home owner, Angela Barnett was concerned; Bellway’s Eaton Lodge development in Rugeley, Staffordshire ticked all the right boxes and more. In fact Angela was so impressed with Bellway that she baked the site staff a cake.

Recently separated Angela, and her 4-year old son Jamie, wanted a new home that would provide a comfortable and safe environment that was also close to Jamie’s school.

“I really wanted a new home as I didn’t want to have to cope with any problems that are often associated with second- hand homes, plus with a new home you have the advantage of a blank canvas on which to stamp your own identity, I really didn’t fancy taking on someone else’s style, said Angela.

“Eaton Lodge appealed on several levels, it is a small and exclusive development in a very nice area. The three bedroom design of the home suited my needs plus we have plenty of garden space for Jamie to play in. When the development is finished Bellway will be installing electric gates which will add to the privacy and security which as a single mum was important to me.

“Going through a separation and moving to a new home has to be one of the most stressful times anyone can experience. But everyone at Bellway has been really helpful; I can’t thank them enough for all they have done to make my move as easy as possible, so as a small token of my appreciation and to say thank you I baked them a cake.”

Rugeley lies on the northern edge of Cannock Chase which is a large area of natural beauty and is situated 10 minutes from Shugborough Hall – the home of the late Lord Lichfield, now a National Trust property. Local amenities include a leisure centre which provides a swimming pool, squash courts and gym facilities.

Lying roughly midway between the towns of Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield, and Uttoxeter Rugeley is a typical Staffordshire market town. For commuters, there are two railway stations, Rugeley Town and Rugeley Trent Valley, which lie on the Chase Line connecting Stafford, Walsall, and Birmingham. Rugeley Trent Valley also lies on the West Coast Main Line.

The major roads into Rugeley are the A460 from Cannock, and the A51 Lichfield to Stone. A new eastern bypass was opened in 2007 and takes the A51 through traffic away from the attractive town centre.
