Bellway calls for final push to support toy appeal

People in Dudley are being urged to get behind a final push to boost a Christmas toy appeal.

Bellway is accepting donations for the Dudley CVS Operation Santa appeal at its St James Mews development in Salop Street.
The deadline for donations is Monday (December 9) so there is still time to buy an extra toy for a deserving local child.

Bellway Sales Manager Marie Richards said: “We are proud to be supporting the Operation Santa toy appeal.
“As well as donating toys, we are encouraging the community to get involved and buy an extra present. Even a selection box could make Christmas more special to a child who might not receive many presents.”

Donations to Operation Santa need to be new and unopened. As well as toys and books, people can donate selection boxes, gift wrap, crackers and traditional Christmas food such as Christmas puddings, mince pies, gravy or stuffing.

Eileen Fielding of Dudley CVS, who manages Operation Santa said she is delighted that more and more businesses like Bellway are supporting the appeal.
She said: “We are thrilled that Bellway are on-board. The contributions from their staff and the donations they are receiving at their new homes site in St James Mews will help make a real difference to thousands of local children this Christmas.”

St James Mews is open from 10.30am to 5pm daily with late opening until 7.30pm on Thursdays. Call 01384 355867 for more information.
