For retired cricket fan, Pete Smith and his partner, Sue Clark, the chance of buying a new home on the grounds of Fordhouses Cricket Club on Taunton Road in Wolverhampton proved irresistible.

“I have lived here for around 35 years and can remember spending many happy Sunday afternoons watching matches at the Cricket Club.
